J.F.Cobb & Sons - Healthy cows are happier and more productive, so we are always looking for ways to improve their wellbeing
At the Cobb dairies the attention to detail relating to the animals is very impressive, and this is rewarded with having healthy animals with high levels of welfare.

Welcome to our website

The Cobb family has been farming here in Dorset since 1928 and over time our business has changed and evolved to keep up with the ever-changing marketplace.

Today, our primary enterprise is dairy farming but we also grow arable crops such as wheat and barley, which we use to feed our cows. As dairy farmers we wanted to tell you a bit more about what we do and why we do it, so we hope you enjoy looking around our website and if you have any questions then please contact us.

In 2014 we completed a new dairy unit at Newburgh Dairy. This was designed to excel in all areas of animal welfare and for long term agricultural sustainability and was supported by the Rural Development Programme for England, for which Defra is the Managing Authority, part financed by The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas. More information about this type of funding can be found at the EU Commission’s rural development page at: http://ec.europa.eu/agriculture/rurdev/index_en.htm
